After liberation, Xie Shaozhen made friends through poetry, writing and calligraphy. Many people often come to Teacher Xie's house to talk about poems, books and papers. There are old, middle-aged and young people (literary friends). Teacher Xie’s home has virtually become a family art salon. Coincidentally, in the autumn of 1982, Wu Youheng, an old revolutionary and poet, published an article in the "Yangcheng Evening News" - "Remembering the Yan'an Poetry Society", strongly encouraging the elderly to write more poetry. Xie Shaozhen, the old revolutionary and poet Zeng Chuanrong, friends Li Chengkun, Lin Xiandao and other literature and calligraphy enthusiasts after seeing this, the desire for association arose spontaneously. Soon, the Mojiang Poetry Society was established.
Xie Shaozhen’s family literary salon developed into the Mojiang Poetry Society, the first organization representing the poetry circle in Yangjiang County. At that time, people in the county called Teacher Xie’s home “the cradle of Yangjiang poetry organization”.
Subsequently, Xie Shaozhen and friends in the cultural circles of Yangjiang successively established cultural organizations such as the Yangjiang County (City) Calligraphers Association, the Yangjiang County (City) Couplet Society, and the Yangjiang City Chinese Poetry Society.
