The custom of Pingdu
Pingdu city is located in the middle of Shandong Peninsula, Shandong Province, on the east bank of Jiaolai River. It is the satellite city of Qingdao, a sub-provincial city, and the largest county-level administrative region in Shandong Province. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, it belonged to Lai State, and in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty it belonged to Qi State. Pingdu County, located in the north of this city, was abandoned in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Today, the south of the city belongs to Jimo County, where the imperial clan Jiaodong Wang lived. The county seat is located in the southeast of pingdu city. Before the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was the largest city in Shandong Peninsula. Mineral resources mainly include gold, graphite, talc and marble. Among them, the production scale of talc ranks first in China, and the output of gold and graphite also ranks in the forefront of Shandong Province. Agriculture mainly grows wheat, peanuts, corn and cotton, which is an important oil, grain and peanut producing area in China. Industry includes electronics, food, mining, chemicals, textiles and many other categories. Well-known local enterprises in Qingdao, such as Tsingtao Brewery Company, Haier Company, Hisense Company and many Korean multinational companies, have invested heavily in Pingdu. There are cliff stone carvings written by Zheng Daozhao and Zheng Zushu in the Northern Wei Dynasty on Tianzhu Mountain at the junction of the north of the city and Laizhou City, which are of high value. Zheng Wengong Monument in Xingyang is a perfect combination of Weibei and regular script. The nearby Daze Mountain is also a famous scenic spot, with beautiful scenery and rich "Daze Mountain Grapes", which is famous far and near.
