In order to understand the situation of primary school students' extracurricular reading, at the beginning of this semester, we conducted a sample survey of 120 students in two classes in our school from the aspects of reading time, reading methods, reading types and afternoon reading, aiming at analyzing students' reading situation by understanding their reading hobbies, reading habits and reading contents, and trying to find a breakthrough in cultivating students' independent reading ability and good reading habits.
The survey shows that 43.33% students like reading, but they don't have enough reading time. Only 46.67% students read more than 1 hour per week.
