His works were rare in the Yuan Dynasty. In addition to posts, there are books handed down from ancient times, such as the tablet of Confucius Temple, the theory of breaking evil spirits, and running scripts, such as the epitaph of Princess Runan and the preface to Lanting. One of the Three Prefaces to Imitate the Tang Lanting was handed down as Yu Shinan's ink.

Yu Shinan's book "The Monument to the Confucius Temple" was originally named "Dongguan Post", which was collected by Wang Shizhen in the Ming Dynasty and later cleared. In the meantime, it was earned by Dong Qichang, and Dong Qichang praised it.
So Nan wrote this book and presented it to Emperor Taizong in ink. Emperor Taizong gave the Civil History to Huang Yinyin and Wang Xizhi's Right Army General Assembly. Yu Shinan's handwritten thank-you table was engraved in the Song Dynasty's "Yutang Post", which has now been lost. The calligraphy of this tablet is delicate and mellow, elegant and quiet. It is a masterpiece of inscriptions in the early Tang Dynasty, and it is also recognized as a wonderful book of Yu Shu by stone engravers and calligraphers in past dynasties.
