Want to learn calligraphy and practice regular script, which is better, European style, Yan style or Liu style, Zhao Ti?

It depends on your personal preferences, each with its own characteristics.

European style is a regular script font created by Ou Yangxun, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. It is characterized by the combination of harmony, strong stippling and cohesive brushwork. It is steep and rigorous. Keep the side stable, compact and sparse.

"Yan Ti" is aimed at Yan Zhenqing's regular script. Its regular script structure is square and dense, the strokes are horizontal and light, the brushwork is vigorous and round, and the momentum is solemn and vigorous.

Liu's body is balanced, thin and hard, chasing Weibei steadily, with smooth and beautiful stippling, thick bones and tight body.

Zhao Ti tends to be flat, Zhao Ti's strokes are round and beautiful, and the shelf is square.

Ps: Liu is vigorous and powerful, yet handsome and round. Beginners had better use two brushes (bright colors and good effects). If practiced skillfully, it can become wool or wolf hair.

Zhao Ti's strokes are round and graceful. Novices use double brushes (three wolves and seven purple are good). If you practice well, it is better to use wool or purple hair (that is, rabbit hair). If you think you are already very skilled, you can try chicken feathers (which are soft and difficult for beginners to write).

The European body recommends that beginners double both brushes (seven wolves and three purple colors are good), and the back can be replaced with wolf hair (mouse beard hair is not recommended, it is a bit sharp).

Yan Ti also suggested double brushing (five wolves and five colors), followed by wolf hair or wool.

When choosing a brush, you should choose sharp (long brush), straight (not forked) and round (full brush). Don't buy anything too cheap. At least buy one in 25 yuan. Cheap brushes don't work well.

Choose more expensive and fragrant ink (there are many ink mixed with water in the market, and you can buy it from professionals if possible).

Paper with tassels will do.
