I have been in contact with brush calligraphy for a long time. I have been practicing Liu Ti and want to practice running script. I find it difficult to solve many problems of stroke order. Practice has entered a bottleneck. Is it my gift? It has nothing to do with "talent" and "bottleneck", but a matter of habit.

Regular script is very rigorous, long-term writing, accustomed to its meticulous. But it is precisely because of this good foundation that writing cursive script will not be "scribbled". Please note that observing the gesture between each stroke of the running script is the beginning of the next stroke after receiving the previous stroke. If you don't have a basic knowledge of regular script, someone will transfer to the next one if the previous one is not in place. For example, the word "ten" should have fallen at the end of a horizontal stroke, and then entered a vertical stroke clockwise downward → left → upward. If you don't have the basic knowledge of regular script, it is very likely that a horizontal stroke has not been closed, and the pen tip is directly upward, forming a counterclockwise stroke, which will be ugly.

From regular script to running script, the emphasis is on "fast", rather than omitting and changing the stroke direction at will. When practicing, always think about the "in place" of each stroke and write quickly. It doesn't matter, after a period of study, you will have a new understanding. For example, "Lanting" should first "read the posts" and carefully observe how each stroke of each word moves, especially how the strokes are invisible to the naked eye in air movement. You can look for it slowly.
