Ink is a liquid containing pigments or dyes that is used for writing or painting. The earliest inks were dyes made from metal, walnut shells or seeds, or inks made from aquatic animals such as fish and octopus. Chinese ink is carbon ink.

Pigment Manufacturing

Inks made with pigments generally contain other substances to prevent the pigment from being rubbed off. Such ink generally does not penetrate into the paper, so the ink used during printing can reduce the cost of printing.

Commonly used colors

The commonly used colors of ink are red, black, and blue and black. Red ink is generally used for correcting homework, and its use range is small.

The color of blue-black ink turns blue at first and then turns black. It is not easy to fade and can be written smoothly. It is a common ink used by people for writing in study and work.

Carbon ink is the most ideal black ink. Black ink is shiny and can be written in black and white clearly on paper, which is very eye-catching. It can be used to write pen characters or pen calligraphy works with good effect.

Dye manufacturing

Inks made with dyes are usually dyes dissolved in water to form a solution, which is not easy to clog the pen. However, they easily penetrate into the paper and may penetrate to the back of the paper, so they have certain technical obstacles in printing.

Such inks generally use solutions that dry very quickly or try to speed up the drying of the ink during printing. Other techniques include using stiffer paper or using special paper.
