In the 32nd year of the Republic of China (1933), Lingdong Buddhist College was founded. Zou Lu, Yu Hanmou, Luo Zhuoying, Wu Qiwei, Li Hanhun, Fan Hanjie and other prominent figures founded Chaozhou Dabushan Jinshan Primary School and Shantou Dabushan Jinshan Middle School. . During the Anti-Japanese War, especially when Chaoshan fell, the Sangha Rescue Volunteer Group was organized to rescue the sick and wounded in the Anti-Japanese War. The master made many achievements in his life, including building Kaiyuan Temple, organizing Buddhist associations in various cities, setting up Buddhist groves and lotus societies, and expanding Fuyu Jingshe and Putong Pagoda in Wanfu Temple. After his death in 1951, four statues of his disciples were commemorated. The previous statues of the ancestors were combined into six: one is the first ancestor Bodhidharma, the second is the sixth ancestor Huineng, the third is the founder of the temple, the founder of the temple, the fourth is the Ming Dynasty master, and the fifth is Master Zhixing in the Ming Dynasty and Master Fulai were the sixth.

In 1992, the city government allocated 300,000 yuan to expand Wanfu Road; Master Weitian raised another 100,000 yuan. Build a living room and raise 130,000 yuan to rebuild the ceiling of the main hall; the county government approved the transfer of more than 240 acres of forest and land that originally belonged to Wanfu Temple to Wanfu Temple, restoring the ancestral custom of paying equal attention to agriculture and Zen; Master Weitian and the province and city The transportation department raised 300,000 yuan to build the Chuiying (Ya) Yan (Ocean) Highway. In 1993, layman Xiao Kaijian, an overseas Chinese in Traveling, donated 68,000 yuan to renovate Fuyu Jingshe; Master Weitian raised 100,000 yuan to build the Luohan Hall, Zhaitang and supporting facilities of Wanfu Temple. In 1997, masters and laypeople from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand donated 1.7 million yuan to build the inner courtyard of Wanfu Temple, Guanyin Hall, Drum Tower, etc. When the construction of Guanyin Hall started, believers such as Wu Changhua and Zou Jinliang donated 160,000 yuan. In 1998, Wanfu Temple held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of the Tushita inner courtyard and the Guanyin Hall and a consecration ceremony for the Buddha statue. After the ceremony, three laymen, Wu Changlun, Lin Yuan, and Zou Jinliang, vowed to donate another one million yuan to build the Mahavira Hall in 1999. Layman Zhou Tongsheng vowed to donate. 500,000 yuan was spent to build the Guanyin Pavilion; on September 3, Secretary Xie Qianghua of the Municipal Party Committee inspected Wanfu Temple. On April 11, 1998 (the 15th day of the third lunar month), the temple held the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of the Tushita inner courtyard and the Guanyin Hall and the consecration of the Buddha statue. It was the most solemn ceremony since the founding of Wanfu Temple. The current abbot, Master Weitian, is 49 years old. He is a native of Wuhua County, Guangdong. He became a monk in 1958 and studied under Master Hongbin. He is also a director of the Guangdong Buddhist Association, the vice president of the Meizhou Buddhist Association, and a member of the Dabu County President of the Buddhist Association, county government member, and county People’s Congress representative. The current supervisor is Master Bo Hui, 35 years old, from Mei County District, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. He became a monk in 1992 and studied under Master Wei Tian. He graduated from Yunmen Buddhist College and serves as a director of the Dabu County Buddhist Association.
