Li Bin, alias Samo, was born in Nanjing in September 1962. He became a disciple of the famous calligrapher Xiao Xian in 1981 and graduated from Nanjing Art Institute in 1990. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Democratic National Congress, a painter of the Central Academy of China Democratic National Construction Association, a member of the Cultural Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association, vice president of Changzhou Longcheng Calligraphy and Painting Academy, vice president of Changzhou Painting and Calligraphy Art Promotion Association, Changzhou Researcher at the Art Institute of the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication.
