Cao Hongxun's regular script "Four Faces Monument"-bold and unrestrained, vigorous and heroic

Rebuilding the inscription of Yuqing Palace, located in Yuqing Palace, the north of Wei County, is the representative work of Cao Hongxun's European calligraphy. Because its inscription is more than 3,000 words long, Cao Shu has four sides and has become a square monument, so it is called "four-sided monument". When Cao Shu wrote this monument, he was 48 years old, in his prime, magnificent and heroic.

There are three main calligraphy styles of this monument: thin, hard, beautiful and moist.

It is thin and hard, the stippling is thicker than the fine gold body, thinner than the color body, and moderately fat and thin. Calligraphy pays attention to brushwork and is realized through "bone". Its beauty is mainly reflected in the roundness of the pen and the slender strokes. Its softness is an artistic effect caused by a round pen or a hidden front, which is natural and smooth.
