Like Zhao Mengfu, he is both a painter and a calligrapher.

The most representative is Dong Qichang in Ming Dynasty.

Dong Qichang was born in the thirty-fourth year of Jiajing (15 55) on the 19th day of the first month (10) and died on the 28th of September in Chongzhen, Ming Dynasty (1June 27th, 636). Industrial calligraphy, known as easy access, had a great influence on later calligraphy. His calligraphy and painting creation emphasizes imitating the ancients, but is not old-fashioned. In the use of pen and ink, he pursues the effect of ripeness before beauty, which embodies the simple and naive personality of literati. At that time, his political position was prominent, and he influenced the painting world and evaluated painters by virtue of his political position.
