His calligraphy won the national first prize and the international competition prize five times; Chinese painting won the gold medal in the invitation exhibition of famous painters and painters at home and abroad; 200 1 won the Wang Zhong Culture Award. His published works include Aesthetics of the Analects of Confucius, Aesthetics, Love is Beauty, Calligraphy Aesthetics and so on. He has published Yang Xiu Pin Calligraphy Collection, Yang Xiupin's Overseas Landscape Painting Collection and Calligraphy Aesthetics. Yang Xiupin initiated "Timeless Calligraphy", which is a new school of calligraphy corresponding to abstract painting, absolute music without plot and dance. He is not only a celebrity in Yunnan calligraphy, but also an influential calligrapher in China calligraphy.
Yang Xiupin defines calligraphy as four elements: character, form, writing and beauty. Character is the carrier, form is the essence, writing is the method, and beauty is the purpose.
