Liu Junchuan began to settle in Nanjing before liberation. During his lifetime, he was a librarian of the Jiangsu Provincial Museum of Culture and History and a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. Because of his high attainments in calligraphy, he is known as the contemporary "Kaisheng" and "Wei Stele King". Because he had never been an official in his life, he was also known as the "Buyi Kaisheng". Li Jianhua, the founder of the Jinghai Palace Stele Corridor, admired Liu Junchuan's character and artistic attainments. After hard work, he built the "Kaisheng Liu Junchuan Art Museum" in the Jinghai Palace Stele Corridor in Leizhou. Liu Junchuan's children also donated nearly 200 pieces of Liu Junchuan's exquisite calligraphy to the museum. , the museum will display Liu Junchuan’s artistic style in the form of inscriptions. It is understood that the relevant departments in Nanjing are also preparing to invest in the construction of the "Kaisheng Liu Junchuan Art Museum", and his family will donate a batch of Mr. Liu Junchuan's calligraphy to be permanently collected by the art museum.
