What is the relationship between Wang Xingzhi and Wang Xizhi? Is calligraphy good?

In the 4th year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (348), it was carved in October. Regular script 13, 15. Existing Nanjing Cultural Relics Protection Committee. 1965 65438+ 10/0/9. Unearthed from Mount Tai, Yanziji, Nanjing. The epitaph is engraved on two sides, one is Wang Xingzhi's and the other is his woman's. Wang Xingzhi is Wang Binzi and Wang Xizhi is his younger brother. Wang Xingzhi died in the seventh year of Jincheng Xiankang (34 1). Judging from the tone of Wen Zhi, it may have been written by Wang Xingzhi's brother.

This is regular script, but it has a strong sense of official script. Some people call it official script. Calligraphy is comprehensive and heavy, close to the treasure tablet. Since the mid-1960s, due to this record and the excavation of the epitaphs of Xie Kun, Yan Liushi and Liu Ke. It caused a discussion on the authenticity of Wang Xizhi's Preface to Lanting. Some people think that from the epitaph of Wang Xizhi's contemporaries, he still has a strong sense of official script, so he suspects that Wang Xizhi can't write as fluent as the preface to the Lanting Pavilion, and the words in the preface to the Lanting Pavilion are also forged. Others think that the writing and calligraphy of Preface to Lanting are reliable (Feng Chengsu's copy is more faithful to the original). Now these arguments are still going on and no agreement has been reached.
