Zhang Xing’s calligraphy writing method:
1. Staggered size. Indulging the body posture, the height, width, and area of ??the single characters in running script are not the same or even very different. Running script adopts the structure of vertical rows and horizontal rows. Because the number of words in a line is not fixed, it allows to write very long, and because there is a certain amount of room for horizontal expansion, it allows to write very wide. In this way, running script has a relatively free creative space in terms of font structure.
2. Adjust the severity. Finding balance in danger is an important factor in the beauty of plastic arts. To achieve balance, we must learn to adjust the weight.
3. Sway left and right. Chinese characters have strokes that extend to the left and right, and spread to the left and right, so that the spirit of the characters can be displayed, and the lines can be easily interspersed, and the weight can be effectively adjusted. Swaying left and right has become a common way of laying out running script.
4. Penetrating up and down. Running qi throughout is the most important technique for laying out and planning chapters in running script.
