There are several stages in learning calligraphy.

There are several stages in learning calligraphy.

How many stages does calligraphy generally learn? As the saying goes, calligraphy is one of the traditional arts of Chinese nation. Many parents will let their children learn calligraphy when they are young. Generally, they can learn anything from the basic skills. So how many stages does calligraphy generally learn?

There are several stages in the general study of calligraphy. There are four stages in practicing calligraphy: the first stage is practicing calligraphy, the second stage is practicing calligraphy, the third stage is practicing calligraphy, the fourth stage is practicing calligraphy, and the first two stages are copying.

Zigzag stage

First of all, don't practice directly with a brush. Beginners of calligraphy should trace lines on copybooks with pencils. The method of tracing lines is to stack translucent paper on the copybook, and then draw the stroke center line of the word with a pencil. Because the brush strokes are generally several millimeters (mm) thick, it is a good practice to draw the center line yourself.

Now you can paint red with water-based brush cloth, red with atmosphere strokes and red with fonts.

Word meat stage

At the initial stage of practicing Chinese characters, it is still necessary to practice with common characters, mainly by practicing arm strength and wrist strength at the same time. You should practice your arm strength first, then your wrist strength, and you must practice your arm strength in big letters. Another advantage for beginners to practice Chinese characters "Zirou" is that they can really understand the thickness, length, turning point and speed of strokes. So it will make rapid progress.

The way to practice "word meat" is to copy from big to small. Practice common characters first, then Chinese characters, and then practice "flying small characters" when the level is very high.

Bone and blood phase

In fact, in the second stage of practice, we should also practice Chinese character bones, but often many people have a good grasp of individual words, but the spacing between words and the size of each word are not well grasped. Some practitioners write some big and some small words, some tight, some sparse, some gradually larger, some gradually smaller, some more oblique, some paragraphs bent and so on. These are all manifestations of the poor comprehensive ability of fonts.

At this stage, you should be able to get rid of tracing, copying, writing according to it, or writing from your own memory. The main fonts for writing are Liu Ti, Zhao Ti, European Ti and Yan Ti.

Font stage

This stage is to copy all kinds of copybooks, not only regular script, but also practice running script and cursive script. Practice not only Liu Ti, Zhao Ti, European Ti, Yan Ti and Shoujin Ti, but also famous copybooks.

This stage is completely out of the copying stage and into the pondering stage. This stage has basically entered the stage of "concept practice". Generally, you don't need to write it yourself, as long as you write it in your heart, you can improve your level.

Generally speaking, a good calligraphy learning process should go through four stages: the tracing stage, the copying stage, the pondering stage, and finally the creative stage. From the order of practice, first practice the character bones, then practice the character bones, then practice the comprehensive character bones, then practice various schools, and finally practice freely.

Generally speaking, there are several stages in learning calligraphy and two stages in practicing calligraphy.

1, from the beginning to 3 years, the introduction and molding stage.

If you start to learn calligraphy for three months, six months, or even more than a year, and finally give up, it is not called learning calligraphy. Whether a person really learns calligraphy depends on whether he really gets started and whether he has developed the consciousness and habit of learning calligraphy. And this process will take at least three years.

But the progress in these three years is the fastest in my life. Since then, I have often been able to persist.

2. Thinking, relaxation, and the stage of "similarity in form and spirit".

It is impossible for many people to learn calligraphy every day at this time. On the one hand, they may not have time, on the other hand, they are not completely necessary. After getting started, I began to think about the original post and the gap between myself and the original post, especially the gap between "God". Start thinking about your own gap, and progress will be more phased.

Learning at this stage is very easy, but with more thinking, calligraphy is becoming more and more refined, and whether it is similar or similar, it can be close to the original post.

3,000 people and thousands of faces.

This stage can be said to be relatively mature. Words have also formed a system, and even if you don't write for a month, you can quickly get back your kung fu. When you start to integrate your emotions into calligraphy, you can easily write a direction close to the original post and also integrate your own understanding.

The general study of calligraphy has several stages, and the study of calligraphy has three stages.

1, seek preliminary rehabilitation.

Sun's "fairness" is not as simple as horizontal and vertical, but emphasizes rules and statutes. In other words, at first, it was better to learn calligraphy than to practice calligraphy. At this stage, we don't pursue any style or change. We should write correctly and accurately first, which is the key.

If you don't have any foundation, or the foundation is not very solid, I suggest you start with simple strokes, first understand the basic writing of strokes, and then gradually improve through practice. At this stage, it is more efficient to find some typical words to polish repeatedly than to scribble aimlessly.

2, and then chase danger.

That's my understanding. Sun's "danger" should be classified as seeking change.

If the words you write are always well-behaved and slow, you will always feel that writing is not so interesting and enjoyable. What can we do? We can find out the ingenious handling methods of our predecessors when posting, and then write back.

For example, Wang Xizhi's running script "Preface to the Holy Teaching". Pen aside, as far as structure is concerned, each word has its own unique place. Although the whole is stable and harmonious, the details are full of gestures. If you have learned the Preface to the Holy Teaching and it is still safe to write it, it is necessary to sum it up.

3. Return to justice.

I finally wrote my own style. How can I be "fair"? Don't get me wrong, "fairness" at this time and "fairness" at the initial stage are not the same thing. This is what Sun said, "People and books are old at the general meeting." Although people are old, writing with pens is more leisurely and natural.

"Fairness" at this stage is a natural writing within the scope of the rules. This kind of nature is not only on the technical level, but also on the calm and indifferent temperament. Just like life, if you experience it, you will let it go, so you won't show your edge everywhere.

Sun once commented on Wang Xizhi: "The book of the Right Army is a wonderful year. If you think about it, it will be peaceful, there will be no motivation, but it will be far away. "

How can we achieve "no provocation, no perseverance" and "self-discipline"? Besides the technique, it is also related to the artistic conception of the book. Learning books is like being a man. When we know the edge of convergence, we should be able to understand its profound meaning.
