The Jiuli Lake cliff carvings are cultural relics protected units in Fujian Province.
The Jiuli Lake Cliff Carvings are located in the Jiuli Lake Scenic Area in Yuanqian Village, Zhongshan Town, Xianyou, dating from the Song Dynasty to the Republic of China.
Introduction: There are 41 existing cliff stone carvings, which are divided into categories such as scenic spot inscriptions, tour inscriptions, and landing notes. Among them are inscriptions by Chen Chen, Wu Qian, Chen Xianmo, Zhao Ximeng, and Qiu Duo from the Song Dynasty, Shi Tian from the Yuan Dynasty, Lin Youheng, Zheng Ji from the Ming Dynasty, and Yan Jiagan from the Republic of China. It is available in official script, regular script, running script and cursive script. It is an important physical material for studying the art of calligraphy from the Song Dynasty to the Republic of China.
Protection scope: The perimeter of the individual cliff carvings extends 20 meters outward.
In 2018, the Jiuli Lake cliff carvings were announced by the Fujian Provincial People's Government as the ninth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units.
