Writing background of Huanxisha:

This is one of the representative works of Yan Shu's Zhu Yu's ci. The author has held an important position all his life, and his career is flat, but his achievements are average. In songs, in wine and in the moon, in a leisurely mood, works often reveal the sadness of bureaucratic literati and the loneliness brought by spiritual emptiness.

The word "Huanxisha" is written about the author's disappointment over the passage of time and regret over the disappearance of spring. Although this is a common theme in ancient poetry, the author has a unique experience, novel ideas and wonderful sentences, so this poem has become a famous one that has been passed down through the ages.
