Introduction of Kaiping Liyuan Scenic Spot in Jiangmen
Liyuan, located in Huanhua Village, Tangkou Town, Kaiping City, is a private garden built by Mr. Xie Weili, a local Chinese living in the United States, for ten years since 1926. The pear garden named after celebrities covers an area of about 19600 square meters. It combines the characteristics of traditional gardens, western-style buildings and Jiangnan water towns. Its unique architectural artistic style of combining Chinese and western styles is unique in China gardens. Pear Garden is divided into villa area, big garden and small garden, separated by artificial river or fence, and connected by bridge pavilion or Tian Tong cloister. There is a garden in the garden, and there is a scene in the scene. There are six villas and a watchtower in the park, among which "Pan Wen" and "Li Pan" are the most gorgeous, with strong western architectural style, but the roof is the charm of China Palace. The harmonious combination of the two presents a very unique beauty of architectural art. There are many well-preserved artworks in the park since the establishment of the park, including large-scale color murals, gold lacquer wood carvings, gray carvings and ceramic statues of folk artists in the late Qing Dynasty, as well as sanitary wares and water supply systems exported from the United States that year, and their advanced level is still amazing. There are four bridge pavilions in the park, namely, Liyuan Arch, Slim-cultivating Arch, Evening Fragrance, Water Playing, Guanlan and Cui Yi, as well as the stone-rice Romanesque architecture-Bird's Nest and birdcage-shaped flower architecture-Hua Teng Pavilion. Among them, the famous calligraphy couplets inscribed on them make the pear garden exude a strong traditional cultural atmosphere. For half a century, the pear garden calendar has been looted and almost deserted. 1999 10 The owner's wife, Ms. Xie Yuyaoqiong, gladly wrote to entrust the management of the park to the government. The first phase of Kaiping Municipal People's Government invested130,000 yuan to completely restore it, and the park was fortunate to reproduce its former glory.
