Calligraphy is not a line art, but a geometric concept and a western aesthetic concept, which is not enough to summarize calligraphy strokes. There was a theory of pen parallelism in the Tang Dynasty. The ancients talked about nature and nature. The same is true when a pen is parallel. Stroke is based on nature, emotion is innate and situation is shaped. On this basis, the brush gesture and painting gesture are unified and then integrated into the ancient law. If lines are used to summarize strokes, the situation will not exist, and all in-depth things will be confused, which will make calligraphy confused in mechanical form and the quality of strokes will not be fully exerted. Even the whole system will be suspended in mid-air, and it will not get up or down. So the line concept is a great failure of modern calligraphy theory! The concept of calligraphy lines has never appeared in the calligraphy theories of past dynasties.
It is an insult to traditional culture to learn China's calligraphy and Chinese painting with western aesthetic concepts!
