How did pens evolve?

The ancients began to use sharp stone tools, animal bones, branches, etc. to carve characters on stone walls, flat land, bark and Oracle Bone Inscriptions, which is probably the prototype of the pen.

The earliest inks were dark water and blood of randomly selected animals. Later, human beings discovered metals, which were used as tools for production and life. Clever ancient Egyptians first made a nib out of copper, and then tied it to a wooden tube that could store ink. This may be the earliest pen.

Later, people not only used goose feather, duck feather and crow pencil to write on soft paper, but also greatly accelerated the writing speed and played a role in the history of pens.
