This is a scene between reality and emptiness. Geng Temple, also known as "Seven Gong Dian". The sentenced person is Geng Deyu, a native of Liangshanpo, Dongping County, Yanzhou, Shandong Province. He ranks seventh among his brothers and is called the "Seven Duke". Geng was an honest official, and later abandoned his official to live in Gaoyou, converted to Buddhism, became a vegetarian and recited scriptures, and the ever-burning lamp in front of the meditation hall never went out all night. On weekdays, we give pensions to lonely old people, help the poor and save lives, and never charge. Legend has it that the Seven Immortals often sit on futons and float clouds on Gaoyou Lake. Qi Gong died at the age of 8 1, and people built Qi Gong Temple near Fushe Lake where he often played, also known as Geng Temple. There are many records and legends about the Seven Spirits. In the seventh year of filial piety in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 180), the sea breeze was blowing hard, and Yancheng and Xinghua suffered greatly. Gaoyou people prayed to Qigong, safe and sound. Gaoyou Army Command Post played Ming Di, and Xiaozong named him Kang Zehou, which meant that the Seven Duke brought happiness and favor to the people. After that, there appeared a lot of miraculous phenomena, such as the appearance of seven princes, avoiding disasters and protecting the people. The Seven Princes were successively named Empress Kang Ze and Empress Yinze. The most legendary story is "Geng Temple Magic Lamp". This legend is also described in Wang Zengqi's My Hometown. It is described in the article that seven public houses will hang red lights at the door on rainy nights, and fishing boats will get lost at night. When the situation is critical, it is like seeing a savior. Fishing boats can sail safely when rowing at a red light. After the death of the Seven Duke, the red light still appeared, which was called "Geng Temple magic lamp".
Not far from Gaoyou Royal Pier, it is the location of the "Seven Gong Temple". Although the temple was demolished when the 1956 Canal was widened, two square pillars with magic lamps hung in front of the temple, despite thousands of years of vicissitudes, still stood by and watched gaoyou lake like two weather-beaten elders. Because the stone pillar is located at the bend of the canal, for thousands of years, trackers often pass by, and the rope always rubs on the stone pillar several times, leaving traces on its trunk for a long time. Local fishermen also follow the customs of the past and do "seven guilds" every year to pray for happiness and well-being. Qigong is the protector of fishermen, and the pillars of Geng Temple are wordless monuments.
