Introduction of Du Fu Caotang Scenic Spot in Chengdu

The attractions of Du Fu Caotang in Chengdu are: Daya Gallery, Dayun, and Poetry and History Museum.

1, Daya Gallery: Daya Gallery was originally the Hall of Heroes in Caotang Temple, and was named after the story written by Huang Tingjian, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. It officially opened in 2002. The "Daya Gallery" on the door was inscribed by Yan Zhenqing, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. Up to now, Daya Gallery has 12 sculptures by famous poets, which show the life of Du Fu and the development history of China's classical poetry.

2. Daxie: "Xi" means official position, that is, the place where ancient local officials worked. Du Fu's career was bumpy all his life, and he was never reused. When Qing Jiaqing rebuilt the thatched cottage in the sixteenth year, Du Fu was named after Daxie, considering that he had been an official and should have office space. The bronze statue of Du Fu in Dayi Center is the work of Qian Shaowu, a famous sculptor in China. It is an open hall building and the second building on the central axis.

3. History Museum of Poetry: The History Museum of Poetry is the third building on the central axis and the main building. More than 1400 poems left by Du Fu truly and vividly show the social life picture of the Tang Dynasty before and after the "An Shi Rebellion" and reflect the history of the Tang Dynasty from prosperity to decline. Du Fu was revered as a "sage of poetry" by later generations, and his poems were called "history of poetry", hence the name "Poetry History Hall". In the center of the hall, there is a statue of Du Fuxiang carved by China famous sculptor Liu Kaiqu in a realistic way.
