1. Seal script
Seal script is the collective name for large seal script and small seal script. It has a history of more than three thousand years and is the earliest seal script handed down from generation to generation. It is mainly used for divination. The writing style of seal script is thin, straight and straight.
2. Official script
Official script is also called Han Li. It is a common and solemn font in Chinese characters. The writing effect is slightly wider and flat, with long horizontal strokes and short straight strokes. The rectangular shape emphasizes "silkworm head and wild goose tail" and "twists and turns". Official script originated in the Qin Dynasty and was compiled by Cheng Miao. It reached its peak during the Eastern Han Dynasty and had a profound influence on later calligraphy.
3. Regular script
Regular script is also called Zhengkai, Zhenshu, Zhengshu, etc. It gradually evolved from the official script founded by Cheng Miao. Compared with official script, regular script has horizontal and vertical characters. Straightforward and more simplified.
4. Running script
Running script evolved from official script and is a font between regular script and cursive script. It is not as sloppy as cursive script, nor is it as straight as regular script. If there are more regular scripts than cursive scripts, it is called "Xingkai", and if there are more cursive scripts than regular scripts, it is called "Xingcao".
5. Cursive script
