He has been running a pawnshop in Yuechi County for nearly 20 years. Mr. Yu Youren also visited Yuechi with his father in his early years and developed a deep affection for Yuechi.
In the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939), Yu Youren, who loved education, spent 3,500 silver dollars to select Tuguan Temple outside the west gate of Yuechi County to build a middle school, and named it after his father's name "Xinsan" Name, he serves as the school chairman. Mr. Yu named the school "Xinsan Middle School", which not only pays tribute to his father, but also means that he hopes students will become "warriors of the Three People's Principles and perfect people who stand upright to the heaven and the earth." Yu Youren arrived in Taiwan in 1949. Since then, he has lost contact with Xinsan Middle School.
Mr. Yu Youren wrote the school motto for Xinsan Middle School: "Serve the country with learning."

During the Republic of China, under the leadership of its founders Yu Youren, Zhan Zhengsheng, Bai Beinong, Zhou Xibu and others, the school struggled and forged ahead in the turbulent waves. Advocating serving the country through learning and adhering to democratic progress, he established an underground party branch of the Communist Party of China and became the center of party activities in the northeastern Sichuan region of the Communist Party of China. In the autumn of 1948, some teachers and students from the two schools participated in the Huayingshan Uprising. Yang Xiqin, the principal of Shangzhong, took the lead and died on the battlefield. Ai Wenxuan, Zhang Zehao, Zhang Zehou, Deng Cheng and other teachers and students were arrested and imprisoned in Zhazidong Prison. In the "11.27" massacre, except for teacher Zhang Zehou who survived seven bullets, all the others were martyred. Teachers and students composed a tragic war song with their blood.
During the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China, the school was bathed in the sunshine of the Party and glowed with vitality under the hard work of the gardeners.
