Duanyan has a long history and is full of potholes. Duanyan is produced in Fuke Mountain in the east of Zhaoqing City and Beiling Mountain in the north of Qixingyan in Zhaoqing City (from Xiaoxiangxia in the west to Dinghushan in the east). There are five main producing areas:
1. The area east of Duan Xi at the foot of Aksai Mountain is mainly Laokeng, Kengzi and Mazikeng, and there are also rare potholes such as Dangluojiao and Chaotianyan.
The second is the north bank of Antelope Gorge, and the white line rock separated from Laokeng by a river.
Third, there are Song Keng and Meihua Keng in Beiling area. In addition, Qixingyan at the southern foot of Beishan Mountain produces pure white Bai Duan, which is also a good material for grinding cinnabar.
Fourth, Xiaoxiangxia area produces the end of Qing Dynasty. 5. The east foot of Axe, Shapu Town, Shapukeng (also known as Axe East).
East side of Duan Xi River at the foot of Mount Aksai: This area is very strange, bounded by Duan Xi River. Its western stone is inferior and cannot be used as inkstone material, while its eastern stone is superior. The famous old pit is in the east of Duan Xi River, near the river.
Downstream, in the foothills on the east side of Duan Xi, there are three pits, namely Kengziyan and Mazikeng, and other rare or exhausted pits, such as Gutayan, Xuandeyan, Chaotianyan, Qingdianyan and Langluojiao. Among them, Xuandeyan used to be the crater of many good inkstones, and occasionally good stones appeared in Luojiao and Chaotianyan.
