Hard-pen calligraphy, as a new art, is increasingly loved by fans. Beginners are often blind and have no ideas, which leads to poor learning effect and even loss of confidence. Give up halfway. In this regard, the author combines the experience of learning books in recent years to talk about how beginners of hard pen calligraphy can skillfully "get started".
First, the post selection is accurate.
When you start learning, you should choose a good copybook (hard pen copybook, small brush copybook) or an ancient Copybook for calligraphy. It is best to start with regular script, because regular script is the basis of learning calligraphy. Nowadays, no matter which bookstore you are in, you can find inscriptions, and the level of hard-pen copybooks is even more different. Beginners should be especially careful when choosing posts, and not blindly, because the quality of choosing posts will directly affect the effect of learning calligraphy. We should choose those masterpieces with profound traditional skills and hard pen innovation; Ancient inscriptions should also choose famous works with clear strokes and few flaws. But no matter which position you choose, you should consider three aspects: first, you like it; The second is the "personality" that suits you; Third, it is easy to paste.
Second, we must copy the law.
(a) after the selected post or wordpad, don't change it at will; We should carefully make plans, draw up courses, copy by the day and never stop. We should not only write more when we are happy, but also write less or even not when we are unhappy. At the same time, we should be good at reading and observing copybooks, and carefully read and memorize the copybooks we want to learn from beginning to end. Through careful reading one by one, we can grasp the law of word formation and find out how words work and how to change. Even separate the strokes of each word, carefully consider the start, line and close of each stroke, how to avoid each stroke and how to coordinate it harmoniously. At the same time, we should also find out the words with the same or similar glyphs in the post, compare their similarities and differences in brushwork and word formation, and how to treat the same strokes differently. For those words that are original in structure, we should strengthen our memory so that they can be organically applied to our own creation in the future.
(2) At the beginning of writing, it is impossible to write like that. As long as you have that word in your head and write it out, it is more or less similar. When writing, you must take your time and have good ideas. At the same time, don't blindly pursue the same shape as gourd painting, but pay attention to the brushwork and brushwork to make it "like a spirit", otherwise it will affect your creative play.
Third, we should understand its "Tao".
Every time you write a post, no matter how many times or how long it takes, you should always write something about the characteristics of that copybook. Structurally, we can be familiar with the methods of asking questions: in brushwork, we know how to use pens (such as hidden front, exposed front, Fang Bi, round pen, retraction, lightness and heaviness, urgency, etc.). ) to write such a stroke. Changing the structure and brushwork of the font can "get its meaning and follow its strokes" to achieve the shape. At this point, you can change to another position. In the future, there will be more copying posts, absorbing their essence, achieving the situation of "pre-judging glyphs" and "intentionally writing first", organically integrating what they have learned into their own creation, forming their own style, and achieving the ultimate goal of learning books.
Fourth, we should improve ourselves in various ways.
(a) improve in self-comparison. Beginners often find it difficult to find their progress after copying for a period of time. You can accumulate the words copied from the copybook in chronological order and compare them intermittently, which will make it easier to find your progress and find, discover and solve existing problems.
(2) improve in seeking advice. "Humble benefits, full of losses", beginners should dare to ask competent people, solve their doubts and speed up the pace of progress.
(3) improve in the process of learning traditional calligraphy. If we want to make a greater breakthrough in hard-pen calligraphy, we should also learn from China's calligraphy, learn from its techniques and absorb the artistic nutrients of traditional calligraphy.
(4) In addition, by participating in some regular calligraphy competitions, I can review my learning achievements, find out and narrow the gap, and urge myself to constantly improve my calligraphy level. At the same time, we should learn more theoretical knowledge about calligraphy, which is also of great benefit to improve our calligraphy level.
Learning calligraphy is progressing through constant exploration, and the road to calligraphy is Xiu Yuan. Only when learners have patience, confidence, self-cultivation, quality and both internal and external training can they make continuous progress and achieve something in calligraphy.
