"Tong" is regarded as another animal alongside rhinoceros in ancient China literature. Shan Hai Jing said: "I was buried in Shun, but in the south of Hunan." Black as an ox, with horns. "Specifically, it is a small one-horned rhinoceros, very fierce and strong. Emperor Taizong and his wife gave their daughter a nickname "Xi", which must come from their parents' love for their daughter. Emperor Taizong sighed to those who came to encourage him: "I actually understand everything you said. I also know that people can't come back from the dead, and no matter how sad it is, I don't know why, I just can't control this sadness. " Such rude behavior and words show how deeply Taizong misses his daughter.
Zhuang Chuo in the Northern Song Dynasty commented in "Chicken Ribs" that Emperor Taizong thought that his eldest grandson Shunde was sick because of his daughter's death, so he laughed at him, but when he came to himself, it was even worse, and he completely forgot the original words of "Wu Gang"! "Don't you love being with children?" You have always understood the truth, but you will never learn it. At this time, Emperor Taizong was not an eternal emperor far away, but an ordinary father who lost his beloved daughter.
Build a temple and pray for blessings
In memory of his beloved daughter who died young, Emperor Taizong issued a letter to relevant officials, ordering them to build a Buddhist temple next to the princess's tomb with the remaining money from jinyang princess's fief to pray for the princess's death. According to historical records, the official seal of the princess's fief in the early Tang Dynasty can only be obtained at the time of marriage, but it can be seen that jinyang princess had the official seal early in the morning.
