Manchu people with the same surname are not necessarily of the same ancestry. This is the case in Ye Zhao, Jilin Province. There are many social reasons for this. The main reason is that Manchu is a * * * isomorphism formed by taking Jurchen as the main body and absorbing some ethnic minorities such as Han and Mongolian in Northeast China. Therefore, surnames in Manchu must also have surnames of other nationalities. For example, among the "Eight Surnames Zhao" in Wula Street, there are three surnames Zhao, originally Han, one surnamed Meng, and the other five surnames Zhao are from Manzhou. However, the Manchu surname Zhao did not evolve from the Manchu surname.
Wula Street of "Eight Households Zhao" was moved to Wula Street in the early Qing Dynasty. Due to the increase of population and social development, it has been widely spread in Jilin area.
