The street near the window

In front of my office window, there is a street near the window, which is called Radio Street. In April 27, I was transferred to Guiyang No.2 Middle School. My office is on the fourth floor of the east building of the school, the original infrastructure office. Every day when I go to work and open the window, I see Radio Street, stand in front of the window and look at the passers-by on Radio Street. This reminds me of a movie I saw a long time ago, Radio Wave that never dies. Radio Street brings me a lot of reverie. I think Radio Street also has a story, but I just don't know it!

when I first arrived at school, accompanied by a teacher, I went to visit Radio Street. Out of the school gate, I saw Radio Street from Wenbi Street. A few steps from Wenbi Street is Radio Street. I saw an antique building on Radio Street. Looking up, there are four golden characters written on the forehead of the door, "Da Jue Jing She". I can't help but be amazed, because the words on the forehead are written by Mr. Dai Mingxian, a famous writer and calligrapher I admire.

I have come to the famous Huajia Courtyard. This is an important cultural landscape in Radio Street. Such scenery is also rare in this city. Walking into the Huajia Courtyard, there is a sign of Huajia Courtyard in the shade of bamboo. Climbing up the stairs, the courtyard is shaded by trees, with elegant environment, garden-style architecture, pavilions with cornices and carved columns, and its architectural style is unique.

Huajia is one of the three major families in Guiyang. In old Guiyang, it was once said that "the silver of the Huajia family, the top of the Tang family, and the millet of the Gaos." Huajia Attic was invested by Hua Zhihong and completed in 1924.

The Dajue Jingshe, invested by Hua Zhihong, covers an area of 5,3 square meters. The main building is a five-story octagonal wooden attic in pyramidal roof, which is 25 meters high and covers an area of about 16 square meters. It is the tallest attic in Guiyang. Opposite to the attic, there are the Buddhist Scripture Building and the Zen Room, both of which are two-story wooden buildings, which are connected up and down by curved corridors. The whole building has unique modeling, exquisite design and high technological level.

The first abbot of Dajue Jingshe was the famous Master Tianxi of Tiantai Mountain, and there were about 6 monks at that time. However, now that people have gone to the empty building, no monks can be seen.

according to the records of literature and history, the Hua family was originally a farmer's family. In 1862, the family of Hualian Hui moved from Zunyi to Guiyang to manage the salt industry. In ten years, they accumulated millions of silver and became rich for three generations. His son Hua Zhihong, after his 14-year-old father died, was in charge of the salt shop Yonglongyu, making the salt shop hundreds of shops, covering more than half of Guizhou. But what the world admires is that "the three generations of the Huajia family are rich, but the cold family style, self-contained and indifferent, have nothing to do with worldly sounds." I especially appreciate Hua Zhihong's saying that "money is the public property of heaven and earth. If it is used properly, it will be a blessing. If it is used improperly, it will be a curse. If it is a blessing, it will be a good choice."

Go out of Huajia Courtyard and return to Radio Street in front of Huajia Courtyard. I wonder, why is this street called Radio Street?

As the name implies, it should not be difficult to know why this street is called Radio Street. When writing this article, I still wanted to know its origin, so I visited Radio Street again, but I asked several old neighborhoods living in this street, but I didn't know.

Later, the teacher of the school told me that during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Guizhou Radio Station was located in Huajia Courtyard. Therefore, the street in front of Huajia Courtyard is called Radio Street. Only then did I know the source of Radio Street.

Radio waves have disappeared, but Radio Street has survived, and it will never disappear in Guiyang people's minds.

after liberation, municipal education commission, cultural bureau, cultural relics management committee, library and other units were used as office buildings. Later, with the construction of Jinyang New District, the municipal party committee and municipal government departments moved to Jinyang as a whole, and the Huajia compound was once again empty.

A few years ago, Huajia Courtyard once became a private restaurant. The private cuisine in Huajia Courtyard tastes good and business is booming. Near the end of work, this street is very lively, full of traffic, in a hubbub. We haven't got off work yet, and the cars parked in front of Guizhou Post and Telecommunications Hospital and Guiyang Education Institute on Radio Street haven't left yet. The car to eat in Huajia Courtyard came in from Wenbi Street, blocking it up. The transformation of Huajia Courtyard into a private restaurant has caused controversy, and many netizens have questioned why it is not possible to protect Huajia attic like Jiaxiu Building and Wenchang Pavilion. As a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the author was duty-bound to write a proposal, which attracted great attention from the municipal government. Mayor Yuan Zhou personally supervised it, and the municipal government ordered it to close within a time limit. Private kitchens were evacuated from Huajia Courtyard, and Huajia Courtyard and Radio Street were restored to their former tranquility.

Standing in front of the gate building of Huajia Courtyard, looking at the surrounding high-rise buildings, I feel the historical changes. However, the cultural and historical atmosphere of Huajia Courtyard and Radio Street is heavy and worth tasting.

I visited Radio Street and walked towards the old East Gate. At the place where Radio Street is connected with Wenchang Pavilion, a new archway was set up. I looked up and saw the words "Guiyang Shengfu Road Primary School" written on it. Fu Cuiping, a teacher from Guiyang No.2 Middle School, told me that it used to be the Laodongmen Primary School in Guiyang. In the early 199s, her children went to primary school here, and they went to school for only one year. Later, it was changed to a primary school attached to your teacher, and now it is changed to a provincial road primary school. I remember hearing a few years ago that in order to build a famous brand, government officials want to merge several primary schools near several famous schools into famous schools, and Shengfu Road Primary School is one of them. Nowadays, this primary school on Radio Street has not only a brand-new school gate, but also a brand-new school building. The completion of the new campus of Shengfu Road Primary School in Radio Street is also a new change in history.

Now, this street has lost its name, but Radio Street has remained. It is said that in the planning of government departments, this street will be transformed into a pedestrian street, connecting Wenchang Pavilion with Huajia Courtyard and Provincial Road, and Radio Street will appear in front of us with a brand-new look. What will this street look like then?
