In the past few years, I have learned harmonica, guitar, piano and guzheng. After learning these instruments for a while, they gradually lost interest and were thrown aside. Only this guqin, I like it from the first time I heard its voice. It has been more than ten years since I walked.
I have asked myself more than once why I like guqin so much.
I liked guqin for no reason at first, but the more I learned about it, the more I liked it. This hobby is like brewing an altar of good wine. The longer the time, the stronger the taste.
"Qin" is the name of many musical instruments, such as dulcimer and violin. But in ancient China, there was only one musical instrument called Qin, and now it is called Guqin. In ancient literature and poetry, guqin was called lyre, lyre, Qin Yu, Stone or Baoqin. Guqin was produced more than 3000 years ago. It is the only mature musical instrument from ancient times in human civilization and the representative of Chinese cultural wisdom.
The symbols of guqin are extremely rich. On the guqin, you can find almost all the representative elements of China traditional culture, such as Yin and Yang, the five elements, heaven and earth, mountains and rivers, dragons and phoenixes, etc. The guqin panel is curved, symbolizing the sky; The floor is flat, symbolically; Guqin has only five strings at the beginning, symbolizing monarch, minister, people, things, things, dark alloy, wood, water, fire and earth, corresponding to the five sounds of palace, commerce, horn, sign and feather. Guqin is generally about three feet, six inches and five minutes long, symbolizing 365 days. There are thirteen emblems, symbolizing the twelve months and leap months of a year; There are two sound holes under the guqin, called Longchi, which symbolizes the hidden dragon; As soon as the dragon comes out, it rains, thus symbolizing the kindness of the monarch; Phoenix marsh, where phoenix bathes to clean its body, symbolizes people's moral quality and so on.
The implication of guqin is changeable. Overtone is a unique playing method commonly used in stringed instruments. The overtones on the guqin are called "sounds of nature". The piano has no "quality" and "code", so it is very convenient and flexible to play. Guqin is characterized by a long lingering sound and a unique hand sound, which is unmatched by other musical instruments. Guqin overtone exceeds 100. Forgive my ignorance, but there may be no more implication in the world.
The only existing guqin score in China is Jieshi Tiao Youlan handed down from the Liang Dynasty to the Autumn and Ming Dynasties in the Six Dynasties. The original score is a piece of paper written by the Tang Dynasty. Because the character spectrum is too complicated and inconvenient to use, it was simplified by Tang pianist Cao Rou and developed into a simplified character spectrum. This notation is to record fingering by pressing strings with the left hand, and to play fingering with the right hand is to spell subtraction words into some symbols. It is a notation, which only records the playing method and pitch, but not the name and rhythm. Its characteristics are "concise, concise and fluent". Subtraction notation is a major reform of notation, and it is an ancient notation that has been used for thousands of years and has not been replaced.
There are more than 150 guqin scores, of which more than 3,000 have been handed down from generation to generation. His important figures can be found in Legacy of Ancient Times, Complete Works of Qin Shu and a large number of Ming and Qing music scores. Nearby works include Cha Fuxi's Notes on Guqin Fingering and Guan Pinghu's Textual Research on Guqin Fingering, which can be used for reference.
Qin people take memorizing Chinese characters as their basic skills, while calligraphers take pleasure in writing Chinese characters. Subtraction spectrum looks simple, but not all calligraphers can write it. Nowadays, it is difficult to find a word in good subtractive chromatography calligraphy works. There are two necessary conditions for writing a good calligraphy work with the method of writing down notes: first, skilled reading of the method of writing down notes; Second, the calligraphy skills are profound. The representative figures of subtractive chromatography calligraphy are Sun Juchao in Beijing and Cheng Jizhi in Wenzhou.
Guqin is not only a musical instrument, but also a lacquer handicraft. There are many guqin handed down since the Tang and Song Dynasties, and some of them are still used by Qin people today. Many musical instruments will be damaged or even destroyed with the passage of time, and guqin has been baptized by years, and its sound is deeper and older.
Guqin belongs to the aristocratic culture of ancient literati. It combines literature, history, philosophy, sublimity, profundity and mystery, and is deeply loved and often played by ancient literati, such as Confucius, Du Fu, Li Bai, Cai Yong, Zhuge Liang, Ji Kang, Sima Xiangru and Song Huizong. There are countless idioms, poems and allusions in guqin from ancient times to the present, such as flowing water in high mountains, begging for phoenix, Nie Zheng stabbing the king of Korea, eighteen beats of Hu Jia, Nagato complaining, seven sages of bamboo forest and so on.
Guqin is elegant. In A Dream of Red Mansions, Lin Daiyu said, "If you want to play the piano, you must choose a quiet room and a high room, or on the top of a building, or in a stone in the forest, or on the top of a mountain, or by the water. Only when the land is clear and peaceful, the wind is clear and the moon is bright, incense is burned and meditation is peaceful can we be in harmony with God and Tao. " Guqin, as the music of literati's meditation, has its lofty and elegant taste. Contemporary piano players are more elegant and often have the habit of bathing and changing clothes before playing the piano. Doing so will have a sense of ritual and help you get into the psychological state of playing the piano.
Today, guqin, like other traditional culture and arts, belongs to all the people in China, and should become the basic knowledge of culture and arts for everyone in China, just like Tang poetry and Song poetry. In 2003, Guqin art was listed in the "Representative List of Human Intangible Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO, and became a spiritual wealth shared by all mankind.
Finally,
Excerpt from Chai Jing's impression of listening to Mr. Lin You play the Pu 'an mantra: "The first time we were together, my heart moved. So slow, fingers rub on the strings, dry and audible, accumulated repeatedly, and it takes a long time to make a sound. But it's powerful. This power does not come from silence, but from accurate, inclusive and unyielding emotions. "
