Zhang Tongyin's Major Achievements

Mr. Zhang Tongyin, a famous calligraphy theorist, loved calligraphy since childhood. He studied under Lou Shibai, Liu Boqin and Ouyang Zhongshi, and has been engaged in calligraphy higher education, theoretical research and creation for a long time. He has supervised 12 graduate students at home and abroad, published more than 20 academic papers such as the Prosperity and Limitation of Seal Cutting in Tang Dynasty and the Reasons for the Decline of Calligraphy in Southern Song Dynasty, and edited Calligraphy World with Mr. Ouyang. Calligraphy works have been collected by Chinese Revolution Museum, Qi Baishi Memorial Hall, Shen Junru, Lin Sanzhi and many other museums, memorial halls and painting and calligraphy institutes. 1958 studied calligraphy and seal cutting in Jinshi Painting and Calligraphy Group of Beijing Children's Palace. From 65438 to 0995, he helped Mr. Ouyang to establish a calligraphy major and served as the deputy director of China Calligraphy Culture Institute. Co-edited Calligraphy World (65,438+00 volumes) with Mr. Ouyang Zhongshi, edited Calligraphy Collection of Past Dynasties (5 volumes), recorded Calligraphy Classics Teaching CD-ROM (65,438+065,438+0 discs), and wrote Li Shu Jin Liang, Epitaph and Calligraphy Research in Sui and Tang Dynasties. His works and biographies have been compiled into China Dictionary of Modern Calligraphy Names, Achievements of Contemporary China Calligraphy Art, List of Members of China Calligraphers Association and Who's Who of China Contemporary Art, etc.
