Plot introduction
Lin, who worked as a white-collar worker in a big company in Zhengzhou after graduating from college, and Wu Dalong, a border guard stationed in Tibet, have been writing as pen pals for five years. They agreed to meet in Tibet and exchange gifts when the number of letters reached 365.
Just as Lin boarded the train to Tibet with the pen with 365 letters written on it and a pair of gloves knitted by herself, Wu Dalong was on his way to Lhasa to meet her. He was injured by high-voltage electric shock because he helped Tibetans put out the fire, and he was lying in the hospital facing the fate of amputation of his arm.
Lin, who knew the truth, saw Wu Dalong's body after his arms were cut off, and decided to stay and take care of his recovery and help him restore his confidence in life. Just as Dalong's body and spirit gradually improved, his left leg was diagnosed with bone lesions and needed to be amputated again and sawed off below the knee joint.
Under the care of the president of the military hospital and the leaders of the army, Lin Lin took Wu Dalong to the orthopedic hospital and took conservative drug treatment, but the effect was delayed. On the advice of Professor Sun, the attending doctor, Wu Dalong underwent a risky operation, hoping that he could finally stand up.
The operation went smoothly, but after the operation, Wu Dalong's left leg showed inexplicable inflammation. In order to save living expenses, they left the hospital, rented a humble room in the rehabilitation hotel and went to the hospital for physical therapy regularly. The neighbors of the rehabilitation hotel didn't understand their relationship at first and often talked behind their backs. However, Lin's kindness and sincerity and Wu Dalong's selfless justice gradually moved them. After adopting orphans, we raised money for Yan Chun, whose leg was injured and disabled. Our son suffered from leukemia, and everyone began to get along as a family. Sister Tang, director of the Women's Federation, helped them in every way. Folk doctor Liu Yijin also changed from avoiding them to active treatment.
Wu Dalong's legs are getting better every day, and Lin, who has been with him, feels that he can't live without Tai Long anymore. She put aside the girl's shyness and proposed to Tai Long, but Tai Long refused. When Xiao Min, who was heartbroken, tried to make a dash for the door, the scene of thunder and lightning and the electric shock of Dalong flashed clearly in their minds. Xiao Min frantically ran to pull down the switch, but looked up and saw Dalong. He wanted to do the same, standing in front of him tightly in the pouring rain.
Xiao Min's marriage to Tai Long without telling his parents reached the Lins. Lin's father smashed their home in a rage and left in front of his daughter, who was overworked, pale and weak but loved Tai Long very much. The Wu family took Tai Long and Xiao Min home to take care of them. When the recovered ones knelt in front of grandpa's tablet with Dalong, Lin's father finally accepted them with emotion. Lin and Wu Dalong returned to Tibet and held a military ceremony under the witness of snow-capped mountains and plateaus.
