Extended data

To learn to write Chinese calligraphy, we must first learn the correct writing method. How to write correctly is the premise of using a pen correctly, and it is also an important link in writing well.

The method of writing has been valued by calligraphers and calligraphy theorists throughout the ages. As long as you look at the ancient and modern books in calligraphy theory, there are many discussions about writing methods, such as grasping the tube, single hook, double hook, grasping the tube, pinching the tube, twisting the tube, stirring the stirrup, returning the wrist and so on.

The essentials of five-finger writing are: real finger, palm deficiency, palm vertical, wrist flat and straight tube. The pen holder need not always be perpendicular to the paper. In the process of writing, the pen holder can naturally tilt slightly, but the amplitude is small. When writing regular script, the pen should always be vertical.
