Who is the biggest collector in China?

In Cai Feng Village, Fuyang Town, Chaoan County, a large museum has just been completed. This private museum named "Huaxia History Museum" covers an area of 25 mu. Gorgeous and elegant appearance, full of modern flavor. Compared with the surrounding houses, it is very magnificent. Recently, with great interest, the reporter visited Mr. Hong Murong, the owner of the museum and the deputy director of the Appraisal Committee of China Collectors Association.

The first time I met Mr. Hong Murong, his simple, diligent, capable and calm personality gave reporters a sense of perseverance. He told reporters that the newly completed "Huaxia History Museum" will display tens of thousands of art treasures collected by generations of Hongjia. These treasures are the truest testimony to the long history of China culture.

More than 20,000 cultural relics have established his position in China's collection circle.

Under the guidance of Mr. Hong Murong, the reporter went to his "Hanyuan Collection" in Chaozhou City (a place where treasures are not open to the public) and temporarily collected some of his collections. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by a nearly 500-square-meter venue with rows of multi-storey counters. All kinds of art treasures are displayed in disorder, which dazzles reporters: from primitive pottery in Shang Dynasty, bronze ware in Spring and Autumn Period, to official kiln porcelain in Tang and Song Dynasties, various porcelains in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties ... The endless collection almost records the development history of the whole Chinese civilization! Mr. Hong Murong said: "This is only a part of my collection. My total collection has reached more than 20,000 pieces." He picked up a piece of porcelain and told reporters that this vase is the oldest blue vase in Yuan Dynasty. The color of this vase is all Persian, which is almost the same as a blue vase of Yuan Dynasty that has just been taken away in England. Now it is a rare national treasure; This color plate is Jizhou green kiln, and the porcelain is full of brilliance; This is the powder tire bowl of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, which is a special product of the emperor ... When he mentioned the collection experience of the treasures in front of him, Mr. Hong was proud and deeply moved. As he walked, he introduced the age, production method, value and origin of this collection to reporters. Pointing to a vase about 1 m high, he said, "I waited for 13 years to get this green vase porcelain." More than ten years ago, when Mr. Murong Hong visited a family named Liu in Shantou, he came across this blue vase and aroused his interest. The blue vase is well preserved, beautifully painted and highly collectible. Hong Murong wants to buy it with a large sum of money. He visited his home many times, and after asking his friends to intercede, the Liu family refused to transfer it, which led to Hong Murong/Kloc-0 dreaming day and night for three years. It was not until the Liu family moved to other places two years ago that Hong Murong went to plead hard to get this green vase. There are quite a few collection stories like this.

In order to get more fine products, Hong Murong often goes over mountains and mountains all over the country, sometimes for more than a month. When you gain something, you will often put it down and be ecstatic.

At present, many of his large collection of art treasures are national first-class cultural relics, and some are handed down treasures worth hundreds of millions of yuan. He has held solo exhibitions in Guangzhou, Shanghai and other places for many times, and won unanimous praise from colleagues in China's collection field. A few years ago, officials and experts from the national cultural relics department visited his house with suspicion. When I entered the room, I was shocked: I didn't expect Mr. Hong, who lives in Chaoshan area at the end of the province, to have so many fine cultural relics and so many collectors in the "cold storage"! Later, several major cultural relics auction institutions in China also held special auctions for him many times, making Hong Murong's name well known to the domestic collectors.

Hong Murong told reporters that these collections not only consumed a lot of sweat and hard work, but also exhausted his life savings.

A collector's family makes a famous collector.

Hong Murong was born in a library in Cai Feng Village, Fuyang Town, Chao 'an County. He has collected it for four generations since grandfather's uncle. When I was a child, influenced by my family, Mr. Hong often collected funny porcelain and hid it at home. When Hong Murong had a correct understanding of the collection significance of ancient ceramics, he became more interested and collected more seriously. Today, some childhood collections not only remain, but also have high cultural value.

China is called "the country of ceramics". Ceramics has a long history, which lasted for more than 3500 years, leaving many exquisite works of art for mankind. In his twenties, Mr. Hong Murong studied under Mr. Qiao Deguang, a famous collector of ancient ceramics, systematically learned the knowledge about collection and appraisal, realized the profoundness of collection knowledge, devoted himself to the professional research of ancient ceramics, and published papers in various professional magazines in China. He has changed from a collector to a collector with deep attainments in the field of cultural relics appraisal in China.

Hong Murong believes that in no particular order, the key is to have "basic knowledge" and lay a good foundation. It is not enough to rely solely on book knowledge. It is necessary to cultivate high appreciation eyes through long-term appreciation practice. In addition, a qualified connoisseur must have a high comprehensive quality, not only the profound knowledge of historians, but also the taste and cultivation of artists. A successful connoisseur must never collect with a buying and selling attitude, otherwise he is not a connoisseur but a businessman.

Today, Mr. Hong Murong is a researcher of the National Cultural Relics Society, vice chairman of the appraisal committee of China Collectors Association, and has also been awarded the honorary titles of excellent appraiser of ancient ceramics in China and one of the top ten "excellent collectors" in Guangdong Province. He has also appeared as an expert in cultural relics identification for many times in CCTV's "Jianbao" program "Talking about the Past and Discussing the Present", which has been unanimously recognized by peers at home and abroad.

The treasures of civilization left by our ancestors cannot be sold casually.

Someone joked that Mr. Murong Hong is a collector sitting on the Jinshan Mountain today, and the total value of those collections is incalculable. Facing the priceless collection, the reporter asked, if a buyer bought it from you at a high price, would you sell it? Mr. Hong said that it is generally impossible, and collectors said that they would hide it and not sell it! He believes that ancient cultural relics are the wealth left by our ancestors, which cannot be measured by money, let alone sold casually.

Mr. Hong mentioned that a blue-and-white porcelain of the Yuan Dynasty from China recently sold for more than 200 million yuan in London, and he was a little excited. He said that China is an ancient civilization with a history of 5,000 years. The 5,000-year history determines that China's cultural relics enjoy a lofty position in the world, which is something that everyone in China should be proud of.

In addition to collecting ancient ceramics, Mr. Hong also likes to write and draw, and also collects a lot of ancient calligraphy and painting and ancient furniture. In another room, there are paintings and calligraphy by famous artists of all ages. There are works by Yang Juren in the Ming Dynasty, works by Huang Xiangtie, a famous person in the Qing Dynasty, and calligraphy works by Chaozhou magistrate in the Qing Dynasty. There are also many ancient furniture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the room. Hong Murong bluntly said, "I am obsessed with ancient ceramics, but Gu Shuhua and ancient furniture only collected 10 years ago." .

In Mr. Hong's "crowded" collection, the reporter found a painting table. While wondering, Mr. Hong told reporters that at present, he not only collects books, but also writes books and paintings in his spare time. He is now a lifelong art member of China Painting and Calligraphy Art Committee.

He has always had a wish, that is, to build a large museum to display all the more than 20,000 pieces of ancient ceramics collected by the Hongjia family for generations, so that more people can appreciate and carry forward our ancient ceramic culture. Now, the completion of the "Huaxia History Museum" has undoubtedly made his long-cherished wish come true. He told reporters that the "Huaxia History Museum" was built with the strong support of the national cultural and cultural department. The exhibits in the museum will be displayed in chronological order. More than 20,000 pieces of ancient porcelain will be placed in the first phase, and Gu Shuhua, woodcarving works, ancient furniture and other collections will be placed after the second phase is completed. By then, Huaxia History Museum will become a dazzling "night pearl" in Chaoshan area. Through the exhibits inside, we will be able to witness the glory of China's 5,000-year history.
