Jiang Dao:
1943, Jiang was born in an intellectual family in Suzhou, Anhui. His father is a professor at Nanjing University and a student of the famous painter Fu Baoshi. My mother was born in a landlord family in the old society, and her economy was good.
Jiang is very talented and deeply influenced by his father. He loved painting and calligraphy and China traditional culture since he was a child. Jiang still remembers sitting on his father's knee, watching his father read poems and draw pictures, cheering for "Yi Yi Ya". My father soon discovered his talent. Since the age of seven, he has been grinding ink in the pool, and since then, he has stepped onto the road of art step by step.
"There are unexpected events in the sky", and the happy life plummeted with the death of my father. Jiang lost his father and was very sad. At that time, he was only 10 years old, and there was a little sister below. The economic and spiritual pillars of the family have fallen, and the burden of life is on the mother's shoulders.
At that time, the family economy was already very embarrassed, and I could only rely on my uncle, who was a cadre in the army, to help occasionally. Nevertheless, mother insisted that Jiang continue reading. Fortunately, Jiang met his first teacher, Mr. Wang Tao, a famous freehand figure painter in China. Wang Tao appreciated Jiang's talent very much and applied for the middle school attached to the Central Academy of Fine Arts for him. But at that time, the situation at home was very difficult, even to maintain food and clothing. Where could there be spare money to pay for his tuition?
After careful consideration, Jiang gave up and handed in the admission ticket in tears. After graduating from high school, he came to the northeast and worked as an artist in Liaoyuan Mining Bureau Association of Jilin Province. By chance, the leader discovered his artistic talent and sent him to the Central Academy of Fine Arts for further study. Only at this moment did he realize his long-cherished dream.
After studying in the Central Academy of Fine Arts for two years, Jiang left school and began to travel around the country, traveling all over the country, traveling all over the world with a pen, and making many friends, including friends in politics and military circles, which also laid the foundation for his later "joining the army."
Born before liberation, Jiang experienced the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Cultural Revolution and the reform and opening up. The development of modern China left its mark on him. Mao Zedong's Speech at Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art profoundly influenced his artistic thoughts. Jiang believes that "this pen in our hands should cater to and serve politics, so that our culture and art in China can be inherited and carried forward".
In the past two years, Jiang has gone deep into the army and the people, preaching these eight words everywhere. Since the conception of these eight words, Jiang has created 500 paintings so far. And this is not the ultimate goal of ginger. He wants to write these words down for more friends to see.
Unlike those artists who always flaunt high-end, Jiang believes that art should first be loved by the broad masses of the people, so he has been committed to being a people's artist.
