Introduction to Calligraphy: Formal Application of Central Horizontal and Vertical Stroke

Practice goal: the formal application of the original brushwork center.

Explanation:

At the moment when the pen falls on the paper, the direction of the nib points to a certain side. When the direction of the pen tip is completely opposite to the direction of the line, this writing form is called centering. When writing the center line, the pen tip must be in the middle of the line.

Steps:

1. Hold the pen in a standard posture. When writing a horizontal picture, the horizontal picture should be parallel to the edge of the table. After the pen tip is pressed, it should appear in the opposite direction to the moving direction until the lines are even and stable.

2. Write vertical pictures according to the above requirements.

3. Pay attention to relax your shoulders when doing the above exercises.

4. Compare the feel of the pen in the air with the actual writing, and distinguish the difference.
