It was not until Zhang Changqing, the governor of Jiaxing, raised funds to rebuild Yuyan Building, and at the same time, the country made great efforts to repair it, which made this ancient garden look brand-new and formed the pattern that people later saw. The whole Yanyulou Garden covers an area of 1 1 mu. The buildings and halls in the park are strewn at random, surrounded by short walls and curved columns and surrounded by long dikes. At the entrance of Yu Yan Building is qinghui Hall, and qinghui Hall is a metaphor that the Qing government can shine with the sun and the moon. The wings on both sides of Qinghuitang are fragrant with water and clouds, all facing the lake. In summer, overlooking from the railing, you can only see the leaves of Lanzhou Lily, the light smoke on the lake and the fragrant flowers of Lanzhou Lily, which is really like being in the Crystal Palace.
In the back garden of Yanyulou, there is an amazing and patchwork Guanyin Pavilion with three floors. It turns out that Guanyin statue is enshrined in it. Later, because it was destroyed, it was rebuilt and changed into an old photo exhibition of Jiaxing places of interest.
Behind the Qinghui Temple is the East Imperial Monument Pavilion, with a stone tablet engraved with the poem "Scenery in the Yanyu Building" written by Gan Long during his second visit to the South Lake. Passing through the Royal Monument Pavilion is the main building of Yuyan Building, which is the main building on the central island of South Lake in Jiaxing. Later, "Yuyanlou" became the floorboard of the whole garden on the island.
This building has a building area of more than 640 square meters, north-south, with three floors in the front and two floors in the back, about 20 meters high, five rooms wide and two rooms deep. Double-eaves painted buildings, Zhu windows, and the surrounding corridors have a magnificent appearance, which is more majestic and extraordinary under the shade of trees.
On the front eaves of the main building in Yu Yan, there is a plaque of Yuyanlou in Houshu, and in the middle of the second floor there is a plaque of Yuyanlou. Downstairs of the main hall, there is still a couplet hanging, which is upright and vigorous and is a model for a generation. There are cloisters around the upstairs and downstairs, and you can see the idyllic lake by climbing the stairs overlooking the railing. Every summer and autumn, the misty rain is like a landscape painting.
High stools are arranged on both sides of the lobby of the main building of Yu Yan Building. The wall is engraved with the poem brick of "Misty Rain in South Lake" inscribed by Yaoguang Xu, the magistrate of Jiaxing, with vigorous brushwork. Among them, several inky tablets are engraved with paintings, only a few of which vividly outline the misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River.
The plaque of "Talking about Rain through Smoke" is hung above the nave, and there is a cool breeze in the hall, as if there is smoke and rain blowing from the lake. There is a poem: the misty rain platform listens to the spring rain, the breeze blows gently and whispers. If the smoke is divided, the rain will go, and the fallen flowers still love the quiet night rain.
There are many stone carvings in Yanyu Building, such as inscriptions by famous painters Su Shi, Huang Tingjian and Mi Fei in Song Dynasty, stone carvings painted by famous painter Wu in Yuan Dynasty and later epitaphs.
In the main building of Yu Yan Building, there are three Qingyang Bookstores in the east and Duishan Zhai in the west. There are octagonal pavilions in the northeast and quadrangular pavilions in the southeast. The rocks in the southwest are mountains, and the caves under the mountains are tortuous and can spiral up along the stone stilts. There is a hexagonal open pavilion at the top of the mountain, which is called "Wing Pavilion".
In front of the main building of Yu Yan Building is an open platform, and two ancient ginkgo trees stand tall. There is a stone carving of "Diao Ao Ji" under the railing outside the platform. On the southeast side of the platform, there is another "Imperial Monument Pavilion" to visit the south lake of Ganlong.
In addition, there is a lotus pond in front of the building, which looks like a special product of Nanhu, "Wujiaoling"; There is a misty corridor, the corridor shed is made of brick and wood, and there is a most prominent section in the middle. There are two layers of carved flowers on the overturned porch.
Behind the main building of Yu Yan Building, the rockery is ingenious and the flowers and trees are sparse. The rockery is made of Taihu stone, which is said to be made by a famous gardener. It leans back in disorder and is piled into the shape of a tiger, a leopard and a lion when it is rebuilt. Vivid, powerful and lovely. Rockery northwest, pavilions arranged at will. Looking back, the winding path is secluded and exquisite, each with its own taste.
Yuleguo complex consists of Baomei Pavilion, Xulai Pavilion, Jianting Pavilion and Chujian Pavilion. From Baomeiting to Xu Ting and then to Jianting.
Lanxiu Garden is a post-built cultural relic monument garden, located at the bank of Wenxing Bridge on the west bank of Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, covering an area of 1 1.300 square meters. The park is centered on the stele gallery, with ancient buildings in the west, and there is a memorial room for Pu Hua, a famous painter and painter in the late Qing Dynasty and the founder of the maritime painting school. The corridors on both sides are embedded with stone carvings such as Qingyi Pavilion, Genting Pavilion and Xiaoling Jiushan Pavilion.
Among them, there are 84 ancient inscriptions in Jiaxing, the hand-painted stone carving of "Going to the Sea Guanyin" by Wu Daozi, a famous painter in Tang Dynasty, and the inscription on the Governor's Mansion of Jiaxing Road rebuilt in Yuan Dynasty.
These works are all written by famous painters and calligraphers in the past dynasties, such as painters and writers in the Ming Dynasty, Zhao, a famous painter and seal engraver in the Qing Dynasty, He, a famous poet, painter and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty, and Wu Changshuo, a famous painter and seal engraver in the late Qing Dynasty.
On the east side of the stele gallery of "Rebuilding Minglun Hall in Fu Xue, Jiaxing", there is a garden area, including Lingxiang Pavilion, Sanguo Pavilion and Yutang. The Three Kingdoms Pavilion was built to commemorate Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, who visited Benjue Temple in Jiaxing.
Lingxiangge is in the southeast of the stele gallery, overlooking the pavilion, and Xiaoying Island is faintly visible among the green trees. The Wenxing Bridge in the east of Lan Xiu Garden is a three-hole stone ring bridge with a span of 38 meters and a width of 3.5 meters, with about 50 stone steps.
Xiaoguanzhou is a small island in the lake, facing the misty rain building in the middle of the lake, formerly known as "Zhou Xiaoying" and commonly known as "Hu Xiaonan". In the Qing Dynasty, the river was dredged and mud piled here to form diversion piers, which used to be the place where fishermen dried their nets, and later gradually developed into tourist attractions.
During the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, Jiaxing folk "Xi Huizi" set up three shrines in the north of the island to worship Cang Xie, a historian who made Chinese characters during the Yellow Emperor period, and was honored as a "sage who made Chinese characters".
In the south of Cangsheng Temple, there is a "dancing dumpling stone", which is a famous stone in the south of the Yangtze River, also known as "snake flat stone". It has been recorded many times in the literature of past dynasties that the ancients praised this stone for "glaring at its claws" and "dancing if hungry". According to legend, it is a relic of the Tang Dynasty, and it is also said to be a relic of the "Huashigang" in the late Northern Song Dynasty. The stone is engraved with the word "dancing dumpling", which is said to have been written by Zhao Mengfu, a great calligrapher in Yuan Dynasty.
Zhou Xiaoying Island is in the north of lakeside park, connected by a zigzag bridge. There are more than 20 acres of trees in the park, and there are pavilions by the lake. Sitting and resting in the meantime is very enjoyable. Gu Hao Tower Courtyard Gu Haota is one of the seven pagodas and eight temples in ancient Jiaxing. It is named after the beautiful city and beautiful water in the north.
Later, the rebuilt Hegu Tower was located in Nanhu fishing village on the west side of Nanhu Lake. The tower is 63.36 meters high and has 7 floors. This is an attic with cloisters around it, following the architectural style of the Song Dynasty. At the four corners of each floor, there is a beautiful Buddha statue on the eaves, and there are quaint wind chimes hanging below, showing the artistic conception of "the wind chimes are high outside the willow."
Nanhu fishing village is located in the northwest of Nanhu Lake. According to historical records, Yanyulou is the former site of Yuan Shao in Ming Dynasty. When Yuan Shaochu was built, the area was small, but there were pavilions everywhere, rockeries were steep, pines and cypresses were green, and Qiu Feng was drunk. Lotus in the pool, moat in the north, misty and rainy terraces close at hand, gardens and buildings opposite each other, forming a complex connected by water system, and the environment is quite elegant.
