Male, born in October 1923, from Laishui County, Hebei Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1938 and retired as deputy political commissar of the Jiangxi Provincial Military Region. He once served as a director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Calligraphers Association. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the honorary chairman of the Jiangxi Calligraphers Association, a member of the Chinese Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, the honorary president of the Jiangxi Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Association, a consultant to the Jiangxi Poetry Society, and a consultant to the Bada Shanren Research Association.
