Xu Anbi’s achievements and honors

Graduated from Yixing Light Industry School in Jiangsu Province in 1976, he has been working in the field of ceramic art for nearly thirty years. His new products include fine pottery display vases, art hanging plates and pottery, purple clay tea sets, etc. Organically combine calligraphy, painting and ceramic furnishings, constantly innovate and pursue perfection. The purple sand pottery painting "Welcome to the Return" designed in 1996 was designated by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council as one of the six major gifts to celebrate the return of Hong Kong. It also designed and produced high-end gifts for today's political dignitaries and celebrities. The work "Yiquan Tea Set" was collected by the Palace Museum in Beijing.

His artistic achievements have attracted attention and love from all walks of life, and he has won the titles of "Top Ten Skilled Craftsmen in the Country", "National May 1st Labor Medal", Jiangsu Province Model Worker, Jiangsu Province Arts and Crafts Master, etc. He has traveled to more than 10 countries, including France, the United States, Germany, South Korea, Belgium, New Zealand, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, and Austria, 9 times to exchange Chinese ceramic art with industry insiders, experts, and professors, and to dialogue with the world. In the face of honors, he still believes that "the road to artistic innovation is long and long, and I will continue to pursue it." For him, honors are spurs and encouragement, as well as the training of leaders at all levels and the support of colleagues. Only by seeking new breakthroughs and taking on new challenges can he stay young in ceramics forever. This is what he thinks and does. New masterpieces are released every year and win awards in municipal, provincial and national exhibitions. Some are collected by museums and some become national gifts. In 1993, he carved a calligraphy hanging plate for President Yang Shangkun. Chairman Yang even wrote an inscription to express his gratitude and encourage him: "Comrade Anbi's memory is endless, and his art is endless." In 1996, he designed a purple sand pottery panel painting "Welcoming the Return" for Yixing Shugu Zisha Factory, which was approved by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council as a gift to welcome the return of Hong Kong. What particularly pleased Xu Anbi was that on November 11, 1997, at the "National Top Ten Skilled Craftsmen" award ceremony, she performed fine pottery, calligraphy, and painting single-knife carving techniques for party and state leaders for 28 minutes, which greatly exceeded the stipulated eight minutes. On March 14, 2002, at the invitation of CCTV, Xu Anbi participated in the auction with his masterpiece "Ancient Rhyme Pottery Vase".
