Wuyan Mountain, Zhou Tao Township, Anxi County

Wuyan Mountain, also known as Sumen Mountain, is located at the northwest of the city center 10 km, which is one vein of Moushan Mountain. Because there are five peaks in the mountain, it is called Wuyue Stone. The mountain extends from northeast to southwest, about 1.5 km long, surrounded by peaks and towering rocks, with the highest point at 574.9 meters above sea level.

Landscape characteristics

In ancient Wuyan, there were two temples, Wuyan Temple in the south, qixia temple Temple in the north and Baoguang Temple below, which were holy places of Buddhism and Taoism, and they were all burned in the war. Now the local people spontaneously rebuild in the original site and become a tourist attraction for people in surrounding cities and counties. On the precipice on the north side of the valley, there are grottoes dug in the mountains from the fourth year of Emperor Xiaojing of the Eastern Wei Dynasty (AD 542) to the seventh year of Wuding (AD 549). Their grottoes, statues, lion protection, inscriptions, etc. Reflecting the artistic sculpture style in the late Southern and Northern Dynasties, it is now a provincial key cultural relics protection unit.
