On the road of life, the sooner you encounter setbacks, the more you can hone your will and understand the true meaning of success.

Few people can go through life smoothly, and most people have to go through setbacks and hardships. The so-called "life is full of mixed flavors". If you haven't tasted the ups and downs of the world, you won't know how human feelings are warm and cold; It's hard to see a rainbow without experiencing wind and rain.

However, people's fate is different: some people are dull in the first half of their lives and bumpy in the second half; Some people have a rough life in the first half and a smooth life in the second half. This different life path, if you can choose, which one would you choose?

For me, what I hope is that I will suffer some setbacks in the first half of my life and have a good result in the second half. Because, for a person, the sooner he experiences hardships and setbacks, the more he can hone his will and let him face it calmly no matter what he encounters in his later life. If the first half of life is too smooth, in the second half of life, the character has been finalized. At this time, it is difficult for people to support any wind and waves.

In the field of calligraphy, there is a kind of font highly praised by scholars, and that is "inkstone style". Yan Zhenqing, the founder of Yan Ti, was a famous official and calligrapher in Tang Dynasty. Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan are called "Yan Liu", together with Ou Yangxun, Yue Mengfu and Liu Gongquan, they are called "four masters of regular script". Such a high achievement is beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Yan Zhenqing, a teenager, has a gift for calligraphy. He studied regular script with Chu Suiliang, the first teacher, and made some achievements. Because of his success as a teenager, Yan Zhenqing thinks that his calligraphy level has reached a certain level, and he is a little complacent and even conceited.

If Yan Zhenqing lives like this, he will probably become the second "Zhong Yong". But fortunately, he has a mother who can see the prophet. His mother knew that if Yan Zhenqing was allowed to go on like this, his son would be ruined. So Yan Zhenqing's mother took him to Zhang Xu, a calligrapher, and let her son experience setbacks.

Zhang Xu was a famous calligrapher in the early Tang Dynasty, and he did not accept disciples easily. So even if he saw that Yan Zhenqing really had a gift for calligraphy, he wouldn't easily agree to accept him as an apprentice. In order to test whether Yan Zhenqing can succeed in the future, Zhang Xu thought of a way. He asked Yan Zhenqing to cook three eggs, demanding that as long as one egg didn't break the shell, it would be successful.

Yan Zhenqing is very clever. He divided an opportunity into three times, because Zhang Xu didn't say that three eggs should be cooked at one time. The first time I boiled an egg, Yan Zhenqing was eager for success and took it out in half an hour. As a result, the egg was not cooked and failed. The second time, Yan Zhenqing increased the heat, thinking that the eggs could be cooked in the same length of time as last time. Unexpectedly, the eggshell broke in a short time, which was naturally a failure; For the third time, Yan Zhenqing learned the experience of the previous two failures and cooked the eggs with slow fire to prolong the time. After burning two incense sticks, he succeeded.

After this process of boiling eggs, Yan Zhenqing learned the truth from failure to success. From then on, I worshipped Zhang Xu as a teacher, studied calligraphy with humility and patience, and finally became a calligrapher.

A person's growth has a lot to do with his parents' education. How parents educate their children determines what kind of person they will become when they grow up.

One day, I met a child crying in the yard. I asked him why he was crying. He said that he and his father had a bamboo sword, which was defeated by his father.

I asked him, "Didn't dad let you?"

The child said, "dad said I could go, but others wouldn't let me go." If I can't accept failure and frustration now, and I can't face failure when I grow up, then I can't succeed! "

Therefore, the road of life has never been smooth sailing. Only by practicing a strong and unyielding will can we calmly face the ups and downs along the way, overcome difficulties, go forward bravely and win the final victory.
