Is there really a Tathagata in Buddhism?

"Tathagata" means "Buddha", and "Tathagata" and "Buddha" actually mean the same thing.

The practical significance of Tathagata is: take the road of truth and become enlightenment. "Ru" in Buddhist scriptures is called truth and is an absolute truth. Tathagata means that Buddha is a saint who holds absolute truth and comes to the world to say that he can benefit all beings. For example, it is the same to call Buddha Sakyamuni or Tathagata Sakyamuni. But it is wrong to call Sakyamuni Tathagata. Because Tathagata and Buddha are the general names of all buddhas, they do not mean that they are a certain Buddha, just as calling someone Mr does not mean that they are someone.

Buddha has ten titles, and "Tathagata" is one of them.

Tathagata is a highly respected Sakyamuni in the western paradise. At the top of vulture in Tianzhu Lingshan, Hezhou, cows and quilts are cultivated. This man is magical and powerful. (This is only used in the novel The Journey to the West, which is different from that in Buddhism. ) It was changed when Taoist Duobao, a disciple of Tian Tong Taoist People's Congress, passed through the customs.

The term "tathāgata" is translated from Sanskrit. The word "Ru" means "tathāta", that is, the true state of all laws (things), and it also means "Yathābhūtam". Buddhist scriptures interpret "Tathagata" as "from the way of truth" and "from the truth". "Tathagata" is a common noun and a synonym for "Buddha". The word Buddha is the abbreviation of "Buddha", which is a transliteration of Buddha (if transliteration is used in today's Chinese, it should be "Buda"), and Buddha means "consciousness" or "wisdom". "Buddha" is a long-standing word in India, but Buddhism has added three meanings to it: (1) enlightenment (all laws are similar in nature and are true); (2) Equal or full-time consciousness (not only conscious, that is, self-awareness and screen image, but also equal and universal consciousness to him, even if others are conscious); (3) a sense of roundness or supremacy (consciously feeling that your wisdom and work have reached the highest and most satisfactory state). [Edit this paragraph] Origin Tathagata: Consciousness comes from truth. "Ru" in Buddhist scriptures is called truth and is an absolute truth. Tathagata means that Buddha is a saint who holds absolute truth and comes to the world to say that he can benefit all beings. Tathagata is the supreme ruler of the western paradise, the representative of the highest divine power, and the true good Buddha who helps the world with compassion. In fact, the leader of the western paradise is Amitabha Buddha, and Sakyamuni Buddha is the educator of this world.

It's all the same to call Buddha Sakyamuni or Tathagata Sakyamuni. But it is wrong to call Sakyamuni Tathagata, because Tathagata and Buddha are the general names of all Buddhas.
