Ouyang Zhongshi was born in 1928 in Feicheng, Tai'an City, Shandong Province. Graduated from Peking University. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at Capital Normal University, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a consultant to the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Painting Research Institute, and a librarian of the Chinese Literature and History Research Center. He first studied under Master Wu Yan and then under Wu Yuru. Starting from the Tang stele, he quickly moved on to the epitaphs of the Northern Wei Dynasty; later he also dabbled in seal script, official script, oracle bones, and bronze inscriptions, especially Ouyang Xun, who was the most diligent in visiting the stele in Chichi. He mostly wrote running script and was the second king of the patriarchal clan. Cursive script is based on Wang Xizhi and Sun Guoting. The style of calligraphy is graceful and beautiful, free and elegant. It has the beauty of calligraphy and the strength of stele study.
