Ye Bingxi’s personal experience

Since 1979, he has worked in the Xianyang Municipal Museum for 23 years. This is the most critical period of his life, because a large number of cultural relics closely related to calligraphy are displayed and preserved here, such as Qin and Han tiles and bronze inscriptions. , Qin imperial edict editions, stele stones, epitaphs and ancient seals, ancient calligraphy and paintings, etc. are all precious learning materials. It can be said that I am truly blessed. He has been influenced and nourished by ancient civilization for a long time, and has been greatly enriched and improved in history, ancient characters, calligraphy and other aspects. Ye Bingxi studied Chinese painting and knew the importance of inheriting the excellent cultural and artistic traditions of ancient times. Over the years, he continued to read inscriptions on inscriptions. From the Warring States Period to the Republic of China, he had visited nearly a hundred kinds of inscriptions, inscriptions and bamboo slips, which are "classic" works. It is the top priority of his study. He is very religious about calligraphy. In order to reach the peak of calligraphy art, he is not afraid of loneliness, endures loneliness, studies carefully and forge ahead with determination. When I was in the Academy of Fine Arts, I received the teachings of Teacher Chen Yaosheng. Later, I sought advice many times from famous teachers in our province such as Liu Zicheng, Chen Zeqin, Wang Chongren, Xue Zhu, Fu Jiayi, etc. I also went out of the province to visit Zhang Hai, Wang Cheng, Hu Jiewen, Zhou Junjie, etc., and constantly accepted the teachings. and improve yourself. Ye Bingxi believed that "only by accumulating thick foundations can one write more broadly." He studied both stele and calligraphy, passed on his studies to various schools of thought, and emphasized tradition rather than rigidly adhere to ancient methods. "Melding stele, molding calligraphy, and shaping oneself" was the only principle he followed. He has profound attainments in regular script, seal script, official script, running script, and cursive script. He is one of the calligraphers with the broadest coverage in our province. He often uses different calligraphy and styles to create works and participate in exhibitions. His regular script was written by people from the Tang Dynasty, dating back to the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and later learned from the Ming Dynasty. It is rigorous in structure, strong in writing, moving in silence, elegant and beautiful. His seal script was first learned from Shigu, and later from Wu Rangzhi and Deng Shiru, with dark lines. Spicy, refreshing and refreshing. In particular, his iron wire seal script has slender fonts, thin and even lines, high classical elegance, and graceful appearance; the official calligraphy sect of Han Dynasty stele, with occasional references to cliff and bamboo slips, strong and concise lines, open and broad structure, or Square or flat, either workmanlike or strange, it is full of changes; the cursive script is based on the "Two Kings", following the learning of Mi Fu, Wang Duo, and Huang Shangu, and incorporating the writing styles of Wei stele and Han official script. It rises vertically and horizontally, with ups and downs. The center forward is often used to establish the posture, and the side forward is used to gain interest in the body. It is easy to lift and press, and is suitable for movement and stillness. The use of ink is also very particular, with thick, light, dry and moist colors that complement each other.

In the mid-1990s, Ye Bingxi's calligraphy entered a glorious period. His works were selected into the "First National Calligraphy Exhibition", "The First National Exhibition of Outstanding Works by Members of the Chinese Calligraphy Association", and "The First National Calligraphy Exhibition". "Large Character Calligraphy Art Exhibition", "The Eighth National Exhibition" (shortlisted), the first national self-composed couplet calligraphy exhibition and a series of domestic and foreign major exhibitions, and has won various awards 48 times. A large number of works have been given as gifts by provincial and municipal governments to officials and friends of foreign sister cities. Hundreds of works have been collected by authoritative institutions at home and abroad such as Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Chinese History Museum, Taiwan Artists Association, Tianjin University, and Singapore Calligraphy Center. , published or carved in stone.

The works exhibited this time fully demonstrate his skills in regular script, official script, seal script, running script and cursive script. Many attainments. Yue Fei's poems in cursive script, Du Fu's poems in official script, Ouyang Xiu's poems in running script, Fan Zhongyan's poems in regular script, and Su Shi's poems in cursive script...
