The picture shows the tenon structure of the chuck, that is, the upper ends of the four legs are embedded with racks, the legs and feet are made of round materials, and the whole body is light, and the two side walls connect the legs and feet together. This style is the most common and standard style in Paintings of Ming Dynasty. Tracing back to the source, this case was new furniture in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, when lacquer cases were particularly popular. The early case was cylindrical short legs. The whole box is made of a whole piece of material. During the Warring States period, there were cases of high-legged wood, and the cases in this period were mainly for eating or placing utensils. The styles and uses of wooden boxes in the Han dynasty were expanded, and waterlines appeared in the food boxes. Boxes without waterline are generally used for reading and placing articles. Han's legs are square and round, high and low. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the case of Qu Zu appeared again. On the basis of inheriting the previous flat-headed case, there was another crooked case in Sui Dynasty. The shape of the Tang case is more abundant, with only legs and feet divided into board feet, curved feet and left legs. In the Five Dynasties, there was another example. On the basis of the five dynasties, the style of Song case tends to be simple and elegant. Its characteristic is straight beauty. The shape of Nanbo's painting can be traced back at least to the Song Dynasty. This form was still popular after the Qing Dynasty.
Ceramic and calligraphy works with brushwork are common, while furniture with brushwork is rare. The styles of Ming and Qing furniture can be roughly divided into three categories: one is calendar style, the other is purchase style, and the third is inscription style. Very rare. Only two pieces of Ming-style furniture with purchase money were found, one of which was hidden in the Forbidden City. It was a wooden box with a tilted head engraved with the words "Made by Chongzhen Chen Geng Midwinter Port Company". The other is a huge oil painting by Huang Huali. Above one leg of the painting case, there are three lines of seal script:
The material is beautiful and solid, and the work is simple and beautiful. Based on this, I can't escape it for a hundred years.
Wanli B was full of knowledge before January.
Wanli B is not the 23rd year of Wanli (1595), so Chong 'an should be the user of this case. Who is it? To be tested. The case originally came from the famous "Lei Pharmacy" in Suzhou, and was later donated to Nanjing Museum by Lei Chuanzhen.
