The fourth reason is that I read Cao's biography "Mind is Bodhi" last time. Mr. Cao also mentioned Zeng Guofan and Zeng Guofan's biography in the book. After reading Zeng Guofan's biography three times, Cao Wangde realized that he should know how to bear hardships. Moreover, in his study, the twelve words of the monk saving Zeng Guofan's life have been hung for decades.
These twelve words are: "Respect is better than laziness, and righteousness is better than desire; Know your man and keep your woman. "

Through the book "Success Studies" written by Feng Tang, there are many methodologies about Zeng Guofan in the book. By reading Zeng Guofan's autobiography this time, we want to see what the life state of this provincial people's congress representative is, how he achieves self-discipline, and what kind of sentiment and attitude he has towards life. Only by really understanding this person can we learn some excellent qualities from him. I've only read a small part of this biography, and I haven't finished it yet. Zeng Guofan was a late bloomer, and he encountered many hardships in his life. There is a story about Zeng Guofan's apprentice in the book. His teacher is Tang Jian. Zeng Guofan thought about physical examination and reading for many years through the guidance of his teacher, and there was no purpose. The teacher has an eight-word outline. These eight words are: neat and serious, the Lord is at a loss.
As for the method of reading, it is wholeheartedly; If the fruit is accessible, it can be reached; If you pursue specialization, you will never pass. The book recommended by Tang Jian to Zeng Guofan is The Complete Works of Zhuzi. Reading The Complete Works of Zhuzi focuses on practice. The focus of practice is five words: sincerity, respect, quietness, sincerity and perseverance.
From the beginning of studying Tang Jian, Zeng Guofan began to strictly revise his words and deeds, and set up classes every day, which were divided into worship, sitting quietly, getting up early, reading books, reading history, keeping a diary, taking notes on tea, writing a few poems every day, being careful, copying copybooks early, and not leaving a name at night.
There is no doubt that Zeng Guofan's success is inseparable from his diligence. And Zeng Guofan is not generally diligent, but very diligent.
