I want to know the details of contemporary calligrapher Li Tianma.
Li Tianma (1908 ~ 1990) is a modern calligrapher. Alias Trinidad. A native of Panyu, Guangdong (now Guangzhou). He studied calligraphy under the guidance of his father since childhood and became a lifelong career. I worked as a bank when I was young, but I was happy to learn calligraphy. I traveled all over the country, consulted my predecessors in calligraphy, exhibited inscriptions and ink, studied Erwang, Huai Su, Ou Yangxun, Wu Dacheng and Huang Mufu, and my calligraphy level gradually improved. Later, he was employed by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to teach calligraphy and was employed by Guangzhou Literature and History Museum as a librarian. He moved to Shanghai in 1970s and worked as a librarian in Shanghai Literature and History Research Institute. During my stay in Shanghai, I devoted myself to the popularization of calligraphy, and I didn't charge any fees or accept any gifts. Member of China Calligraphers Association, honorary director of Shanghai Calligraphers Association. He has presided over the filming of the calligraphy teaching film How to Write Chinese Characters in Brush Style and Love at the Pen End. He is the author of Running Calligraphy Techniques (1984) and so on.
