Yan Zhenqing’s tomb is a cultural relic protection unit in Luoyang City.
The tomb of Yan Zhenqing, an outstanding politician and calligraphy artist in the Tang Dynasty, is located at the entrance of Tangquan Village, Shanhua Township, Yanshi City. The villagers call it "Yan Lugong's Tomb". Yan Zhenqing's tomb is located against Mang Mountain in the north and Luoshui in the south. The length and width of the tomb are both 16 meters. In front of the tomb, there are two stone tablets from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The Ming monument is "Tang Taishi Yan Lugong Zhenqing's Tombstone" written by the county magistrate Lu Chunru. The monument is 1.75 meters high, 0.60 meters wide and 0.15 meters thick. The Qing monument is 1.45 meters high, 0.6 meters wide and 0.17 meters thick. In the middle of the front is engraved "Fu Tang presented the tomb of Situ Wenzhong Yan Lu Gong posthumously", which was erected by Zhang Songsun, the prefect, and Tang Yuzhuo, the city commander, in March of the 55th year of Qianlong's reign. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit at the municipal level. In 1996, the Shanhua Township Government renovated Yan Zhenqing's tomb and established a Yan Zhenqing Memorial Hall. State Councilor Chen Junsheng inscribed the name of the memorial hall, and the famous writer Ji Xuepei inscribed the banner "Grand Master of the Generation".
Yan Zhenqing, an outstanding calligrapher and great patriot in the mid-Tang Dynasty. The "Yan style" regular script he founded is known as the "Four Masters of Regular Script" together with Zhao Mengxu, Liu Gongquan and Ouyang Xun. Yan Zhenqing, (709--784), Han nationality, named Qingchen, was born in Jingzhao ten thousand years ago, and his ancestral home is Linyi, Langya (now Linyi, Shandong), Tang Dynasty. Kaiyuan Jinshi. During the Anshi Rebellion, he fought against thieves for meritorious service. He entered Beijing and served successively as Minister of the Ministry of Personnel, Prince and Grand Master, and was granted the title of Founding Duke of Lu County, so he was also known as Yan Lu Gong in the world.
