I still remember that at that time, I paid a lot for studying. The first year of learning calligraphy was in the summer vacation when I was eight years old. Because the teacher's spare room is a flat-topped top floor, the sun bakes the room very hot. When writing, my palms are always sweating, my pen is slipping, and everyone is always fanning during the break. I learned calligraphy for the second time in the winter vacation when I was eight years old. I didn't go shopping happily during the Chinese New Year, nor did I go to my grandmother's house to play with my sister. But learning calligraphy in the teacher's spare room, or on the top floor, where there is no heating equipment, so it is very cold, sometimes shivering with cold. At that time, it was a holiday a few years ago, and there was not enough time, so I studied for five days before the year and five days after the year, and there was no happy atmosphere at all during the New Year. Not only that, I also spent all my playing time learning calligraphy. During the study, the teacher asked us to write some works. I always write every word carefully. If I make a mistake, I will rewrite it on a new piece of paper. In daily life, I also pay great attention to my usual exercises. Every time the teacher says to practice, I write step by step according to the teacher's instruction. So I think the good result of this competition is the result of my previous efforts.
At that time, we had a calligraphy competition. My Chinese calligraphy is the first, and my English calligraphy is the second. For this result, on the one hand, I am happy to get this good result, and regret that I didn't get the first place in English. On the other hand, I deeply realized the truth of "no pains, no gains".
I think this unforgettable calligraphy competition has taught me that only by constantly paying in my study can I gain something. Moreover, I also firmly believe that there is no gain without giving, and giving is directly proportional to the gain. The more you give, the more you get, so you can laugh often.
